These sites are the true treasures of Chicago, showing visitors and locals the rich heritage that produced this glorious city.<\/p>\n<p>Just ask your <a href=\"http:\/\/www.universaltaxidispatch.com\/\"><strong>Universal Taxi <\/strong><\/a>driver to take you to these historical points of interest, and experience the city\u2019s rich history firsthand:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>Glessner House. <\/em><\/strong>Built in 1887, it was the home of Henry Hobson Richardson Glessner. He was one of the, if not the primary inspiration of a lot of Frank Lloyd Wright\u2019s work. It is inspired by the Giralda Tower at the Seville Cathedral in Spain and displays an American version of the French Renaissance style.<a href=\"http:\/\/www.universaltaxidispatch.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/wrigley_building_3_large.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-283\" src=\"http:\/\/www.universaltaxidispatch.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/wrigley_building_3_large.jpg\" alt=\"wrigley_building_3_large\" width=\"500\" height=\"700\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.universaltaxidispatch.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/wrigley_building_3_large.jpg 500w, http:\/\/www.universaltaxidispatch.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/wrigley_building_3_large-214x300.jpg 214w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Chicago Water Tower.<\/em><\/strong> Built in 1869, it is one of the few structures that survived the 1871 Chicago Great Fire. A limestone building that does not exactly look like a traditional water tower, the main structure is 154 feet high.
